the nike closet refresh
We’ve all been there. The closet has entered the realm of unorganized and unruly and is in need of a refresh. Let’s face it, our organizational systems need to change alongside of our needs for the spaces. In October, my project with the Container Store was a closet refresh for an incredible Nike family in Beaverton.

Sneakers took center stage in this closet org, using stackable clear shoe boxes from the container store, creating neat storage that doubles as a beautiful art display piece.
Purses, sweaters, shirts and hats were organized with the Cambridge linen collection bins. The neutral tone keeps things aesthetically streamlined and calm while providing functionality and ease of access. All hangers were swapped for linen velvet hangers to match the new tone of the space, and also prevent clothes from falling off the hanging racks.
Smaller items such as accessories, scarves and belts were neatly tucked away and organized using the canvas bins.
STORAGE, STORAGE, STORAGE - that’s the name of the game, and the Elfa drawer systems are a dream solution. We installed two systems, stacked, for extra space for folded clothing items. Not every clothing item needs to be on a hanger, so having additional storage space for folded items is essential for both tidyness and visual appeal.
